      So I intended to walk about 5km today (3.1m), but I ended up walking over double that today, I walked a total of 12.7km (7.89m). I took the number 16 bus from close to home, then transferred to the number 80 to get to the Tim Hortons in Bedford (1530 Nova Scotia Trunk 2, Bedford, NS B4A) next to the Chicken Burger, the first place I stopped was at the Esso located at 1505 Bedford Hwy, Bedford, NS B4A 1E3 to get some water for the walk. The attendants there were friendly to say the least, but very surprised/startled when they asked what I was up to and I replied back that I was walking to Halifax from Bedford.

     Something that I noticed that along the walk from Bedford until I got to MSVU (Mount Saint Vincent University) everyone that I passed said hello to me as we passed each other, once I passed MSVU not one person acknowledged the greeting that I gave them.

     Now along the way I stopped and either took in the scenery (I have never actually walked this part of the area, I had always just driven through it) or took a couple pictures of the area; mainly of the Bedford Basin ("Photos listed below").

     I started the walk around 09:00am and ended it at about 13:00, the walk was about 4 hours long (That is with taking breaks just to sit and watch everything going on with the people around and what was happening in the Basin), so total walk time would of been about 3 hours which is what I figured it would take.

     The day started off a little dark and over cast, but there was a slight breeze and near the end of the walk the breeze was still there but it had cleared up and the sun had also come out as well. In my opinion it was a excellent day for this walk to happen.

     For the walk I was by myself (But when I do it again I do plan to take some one with me to enjoy it more), how ever I did have a boat load of Pod casts from @Lefty643 that I had put on to my MP3 player, so even though I only had a 1 way communication it was still nice to have some sort of a presence with me on this walk.

     My walk was from start to end with these addresses 1530 Nova Scotia Trunk 2, Bedford, NS B4A (Tim Hortons) - 7001 Mumford Road, Halifax, NS B3L 4N9 (Halifax Shopping Centre) 12.7km. Bells online customer support

     So I had a question in regards to my contract end date with Bell Mobility. So I tried to call them, of course they were closed early on a Saturday night, so luckily I was near a computer and went to their online support instead.

     So after a 1 hour session with the rep, he was able to avoid all technical questions in regards to the IMEI and ICCID associated to the account, he was also not able to verify what in store rep made changes to the account and or what store location was the one that changed/renewed the contract that they have on file.

     He also did not show any indication that a warranty claim had been filed for the phone associated to the account. All he was able to do is provide the same date for the entire conversation.

     Now I can not say whether this is due to lack of system access or lack of training or not fully understanding what I was asking (And if so then he should of asked for clarification) or just unwillingness to provide full support. So for the time being I am going with the assumption that it is due to lack of system's unless I can prove otherwise.

     Now I did keep track of the entire conversation as it went along (it is posted below, names and dates and such have been edited for security reason's) for quality purposes.

     I also love the fact when asked for a call back by either customer care or a supervisor I was told that they can not do that........ Even AT&T Mobility does that....

     I definitely left feedback in the popup window you get when you go to close the chat window, that is also posted below.

     Lets just say at this point my faith in Bell Mobility is dwindling and I hope they can fix that. I have had this service/number since I moved to Nova Scotia and that has been over 15 years now.

When asking the rep for detailed info in reguards to my contract, he was only able to provide the month, day and year. When asked what agent put the current rate plan in to place he could not provide that information, nor could he provide the store location that put the plan in to place. The agent also stated that he could not confirm when the ICCID on the account changed and then changed back again, He was also unable to find any mention on the account about a warranty claim that was filed on my Sony Xperia™ T.  Either the online customer care reps need more access to the systems to locate this information or the information should be listed in the system, that is going with the assumption that the representitive was not misleading me and just kept me online for a hour. Benefit and silent auction

On Saturday July 12th from 18:00 to 00:00 there will be a benefit/silent auction with a dance held at the North Woodside Community center (230 Pleasent St in Dartmouth). This event is being held to financially help Roger Cruickshank and his family due to his diagnosis of bladder cancer. Roger was diagnosed with bladder cancer back in September 2013, and sionce then the cancer has spread and gone to his bones as well. During this time he has been working but unfortunately he does not have any benefits from his employer. Now as of May 22nd of 2014 Roger was told he could no longer work by his oncologist. So if you can not attend the function you can still donate something/anything for the silent auction it is greatly appreciated by Roger and his family. So I was given a info packet today for a clothing bin, so I sat down to actually read it and it was from the Canadian diabetes association, The gentleman that gave me the packet was very friendly and dressed in business casual clothing which was a very welcome change from seeing people in a full blown business suit.
The information was very easy to read and understand and well presented. This is definitely something that everyone should look into and not just from the Canadian diabetes association but other companies that do the same thing as well. The only thing this does is help the people that need it and shows that we as a whole are good people and help when we can where we can.

Persistent persistence

So I have been searching and searching for some time and I have finally found the regulations that are supposed to be followed when anyone is pumping gas at a gas Station, this information was definitely not easy to find, but in this case persistence paid off. Weeeeehhhoooooo.

The information I am stating is a summary of the copy and paste that I did below from on the online site with the link to the direct information for verification.

So with the information I have found I have been able to confirm (for Nova Scotia and possibly for all of the Maritimes but can not confirm) it is illegal for any employee to allow you to dispense fuel while your vehicle is still in operation (defined as the engine is still in operation and not shut off). You also can not smoke within 7.5M of any pump and the same for boosting a vehicle with a defective battery and or starter system.

Now alot of people get upset over the fact of boosting their vehicle or having to shut their vehicle off while pumping the fuel, but moat people do not realize that if the employee that is working allows you to do any of those items and a inspector comes in to the station and sees this happening there will be a fine issued not only to the employee but also to the person that is performing this violation, now I have not been able to get a concrete answer as to what the fine is for either parties but it has been confirmed when presented to police officers as well as the local fire marshal.

Now I have as most of you have also noticed that there are some gas stations around that have Sighe up also indicating that the use of cellular devices while pumping gas can not be used, nowhere in any of the information I have found online or by verbal inquiry have confirmed that it is illegal for people to use their cellphones, so why is it that these gas stations have these signs up and enforce this rule when it is not currently on the books for enforcement?.

(5) The approval holder at an outlet or place at which motive fuel is stored shall post in a conspicuous place on or near the pumps or place from which motive fuel is dispensed a no smoking symbol and post a sign warning that smoking, jump-starting a motor vehicle or operating a motor vehicle while motive fuel is being dispensed, is prohibited.

(6) Nothing in this Section prohibits the operation of a vehicle if the operation of the motor or engine is required for the delivery of motive fuel.

The New force

So Ultramar is running a promo for a new drink that they have had made specifically for them.

The drink is called U-Force, the introductory price is $0.99 pliant tax and deposit for it.

How ever on May 9 and 10th And 16th and 17th you can get a free bottle of this new drink at no cost with the purchase of any other beverage (Excluding any type of hot beverage or if in Quebec or New Brunswick alcoholic beverages as well).

There is a limit though unfortunately of 1 bottle per person per day if you go to the same Ultramar.

There is a toral of 4 flavours available to choose from as well, So far the feedback on the drinks are that they are good, but very similar to Gatorade but at a better price.

Also they currently have their Bens Bread for $1.99 a loaf.

Inclusive tax's

So I downloaded and read the Canadian tax journal (regarding the inclusion of taxes on items) a couple of days ago. This is a good read if you have nothing else do to and want to be bored.

The reason for me to do this because I have always wondered why taxs are not included on items when we buy them at a store.

So what I found was that the bill was passed allowing it to be done, however it was left open and uninforced in all provinces.

The reason they have not enforced it is because not all provinces charge the same rate if tax, 2 provinces don't even charge taxes on all items.

However all provinces have the taxes include for oil and gas and the such. They also say that not all provinces charge the same actual type of tax, which is true by name only; then you also run in to the issue if you buy something online what tax should be charged and collected on the item.

The government is looking at this as a whole picture and not on a smaller scale. Why is it that the taxes can not be included in the items for the sticker price inside the store but when you go to pay for them they are broken down on the receipt like gas and oil is.

Now when it comes to buying something online you are charged the tax according to the province it is from and not where you live. By doing that all the province's still get the proper amount of taxes on everything that is sold.

Now no one can say that this can not be done for it has been done in a couple locations in Ontario, now mind you they were for governmental companies to buy their supplies from, but still it can and has been done.

My Angel

My Angel I spend all my time waiting for that second chance For my break that will make it ok I always seem to have some reason to not feel good enough And it's hard every day I really need some distraction oh beautiful release of emotion Memories keep seeping from my veins For I feel quite empty and weightless and maybe sometime I'll find some peace that we all need. The 2nd Chance

There are times that we know we want and or need a second chance; but there are also those times that we don't know if we need a second chance. How are we to know when we need that second chance to correct the error that we made the first time without being told. Now a lot of people are very up front and will tell you that you have made a mistake and you are being given the second chance, but then there are those people that will not tell you and simply make excuses as to not see you and or not talk to you because you have made that mistake the first time even though you may not known you have made it.
But then there are those times you have made a mistake no matter how big or small it was; but then you have the same type of people that will either allow you to correct it over time or they will shut you out and have nothing more to do with you.
Now the latter; does that make the person shutting you out a bad person or simply doing it so they can not get hurt or to avoid being hurt again by another person?. Or depending on the mistake you have made, does the other person that allows you to rectify your mistake asking to quite possibly get hurt again or are they hoping that the mistake will be fixed and not happen again?.
Now are mistakes made because of lack of communication between the 2 people or is it because of how each of them were raised and the one that made the mistake doesn't see it as a mistake but the other does! And if it is the latter was there truly any way to avoid the mistake being made in the first place. It is quite possible that if each person knew the other better that it could of been avoided or was it destined to happen anyway?.

The women

What is it that gets the opposite genders attention?. How is it that you can be walking down a really busy street not looking at anything in particular. But all of a sudden out of no where you have the desire to either turn your head right or left or completely turn around to have a look at a person being it either a women or a male. Is it in us to subconsciously be on the look out for certain aspects or is it pheromones of this other person that gets our attention that makes us take notice of this other person. With this happening is it then a mutual thing between you and this other person or is it purely a 1 sided sense that made you take that look?. Is there a difference if a women is walking down a busy street wile wearing a full length red dress with long hair, nicely taken care of. Or the same women walking down the street with her hair in a bun and wearing sweat pants and a sports jersey would she get the same reaction from the same person and what if it was a male wearing the suit or tie or the sweat pants and Jersey, would they be looked at the same or different and why?. For myself I base it on the facial description of the person normally starting with the eyes. Paramahansa Yogananda says it best "Let my soul smile through my heart and my heart smile through my eyes, that I may scatter rich smiles in sad hearts." for me the eyes are the road to the soul. For your soul is your being, if your true to yourself and others then yours eyes will tell me your story.

The path

So what is real. Is it what we can taste, smell, touch and or feel? Is there honestly anyway for us to know or find out? Or is everything that we do predefined as some say as genetics, Or is it in our genes to be who we are and thus do what we do!. For me I say we are a culmination of what we do and how we do it and who we have in our life to accompany us on our path through this existence we call life. Unfortunately there are those of us out there whether we know it or not that attempt to misdirect us on our path as we travel along so as to enhance their own path of existence that they are living. But there are times that we get lucky enough to have that other person join us on our path and begin a journey together enriching and Complementing each other. But at times this same situation will end when the other person no longer wishes to proceed on the enriching path that they are traveling with this person with. They believe that the path that runs alongside the one they are  currently on is more rewarding than the one they are currently on. But they find out sooner or later in most cases it was simply an illusion that they were seeing and the new path that they have chosen is not what they thought it would be or what they thought they had perceived. Unfortunately this is happening more and more these day's. People are now making choices without thinking them through and selecting a path that was and or is not right for them, and properly selecting the  company in which they wanted to enrich them on there path/journey they have taken in life.
